The ECU tuning platform built by tuners, for tuners
MasterX opens your file, works out what your ECU actually allows to be switched off, and offers you that. Nothing else. If your file cannot do it, you will not be sold a solution that breaks it.
Cars. Trucks. Tractors. Excavators. Industrial engines. One platform, one licence, no per-file tokens on the automatic modules.
Auto-detected EDC17C74 · 15 solutions offered · 1,739 DTC read, 151 already off
01 — The difference
MasterX does not show you a list and hope. It opens your file, works out what your ECU actually allows to be switched off, and offers you that. Nothing else.
MasterX reads the binary and identifies the ECU, the emission systems present and what the calibration actually exposes.
Solutions your file cannot support stay greyed out. You never buy, apply or promise something the ECU will not take.
Select, apply, export. Merged solutions, a clean log, and the original kept so you can always go back.
Solutions in the platform
02 — Recognition engine
Load the read and MasterX takes it apart: identity, every hardware and software number, CPU, RTOS, compiler, build date, checksum, segments, entropy, blank and encrypted zones. You know exactly what is in front of you before a single decision is made.
EDC17C74 · VAG · Bosch · TC1797 Infineon TriCore · 4.00 MB · 13 segments · entropy 6.479 / 8.0
Brand, ECU, manufacturer, engine code, displacement, fuel and power, all read out of the binary itself.
Every HW and SW number, the ASAM / EPK identifier, RTOS version, compiler and build date.
Flash size, segments, blank zones, fill byte ratio, entropy and encrypted zones mapped before you edit.
Read protection and encryption status flagged up front, not after a failed write.
Shown inside the software, on every scan
Auto-detect is powerful but not 100% reliable: similar calibrations can mislead. Verify the ECU before accepting, or choose it manually if the detection is wrong.
We would rather tell you that than let you flash the wrong file.
03 — Stage 1 and Stage 2
1,134 ECU families for Stage 1 across 32 brands. 382 with Stage 2. Gearbox included.
World No.1 on stage coverage: no other suite offers automatic Stage 1 and Stage 2 on as many ECUs.
Every stage is checked against your file before a single byte is written. Below a 100% match, MasterX refuses.
Your ECU is worth more than a forced write.
Why the match can be that strict

The map recognition engine locates every calibration table MasterX needs inside your own binary, then verifies it before touching it. Nothing is applied by address, by offset or by a checksum lookup against somebody else's dump.
Tables are found by their structure in the dump: dimensions, monotonic axes, value gradients, the ramp a calibration draws against the noise of code. The same map is found even when the software version moved it.
Each candidate is checked against what it claims to be: axis units in mg/stroke, rpm, bar or degrees, plausible ranges, size, scaling and the twin tables that must exist alongside it. A table that does not pass is not used.
Torque request, boost, rail pressure, injection quantity, start of injection, smoke limitation and the limiters that follow them are recomputed from the numbers already in your file, and kept coherent with each other.
If one table the stage depends on is not identified with certainty, the stage is not offered. That is the 100% rule: a partial stage is a bricked afternoon, so MasterX would rather say no.
04 — Virtual Dyno
This is the module that closes the sale. Pick the exact model and MasterX draws the projected curve against stock, torque and power, both on the same chart. You give the customer a number and a graph while the car is still on the forecourt, and you take the job before a single byte has been written.
A3 1.6 TDI 110 hp (8V Mk1, 2012-2016) · EDC17C74 · Stage 1 preview, nothing written yet
Origin power and year select the matching curve, so an A3 1.6 TDI 110 hp is projected as an A3 1.6 TDI 110 hp and not as a generic 1.6 diesel.
Four curves, torque and power, before and after, with the peak values marked and the delta called out. Switch to Stage 2 and read the difference instantly.
How much will I gain? is the question that loses jobs. Turn your screen around, show the curve, quote the price, then confirm the stage from the same window.
The software says it on the screen: the real result depends on the vehicle and its condition. A projection you can defend in front of a customer, not a promise you will have to explain later.
05 — Automatic DTC recognition
691 ECU families, 64 brands. Detection, removal, class removal, disable mask processing, advanced error management.
This is the part most platforms cannot do. DTC recognition is what opens NOx, EVAP, Flaps, TVA, Lambda, MAF and Torque Monitoring on ECUs that have no ready-made solution at all.
The whole supported list is public and searchable: every ECU, every brand, every solution it can run, dated 23/08/2026.
06 — IMMO OFF, native
350 ECU families across 38 brands, listed under their real ECU names. Drop the flash file, add the EEPROM if the ECU needs it, apply.
65 ECUs with IMMO patterns on VAG alone
07 — Fan control
MasterX locates the fan activation maps inside your read, shows the low and high speed thresholds in degrees, and writes back the value you type. No DAMOS, no second tool, no guesswork.
VAG · EDC17C74 · FanCtl_rDemEngDes_MAP · 2 blocks located in 21 ms
Two fan speeds were found in this file. Changing the low speed brings the high speed along; the switch-off follows on its own.
Step past the two-field view and take each block on its own values, with the map name and its address in front of you.
VAG · BMW · PSA · FCA · Ford · Renault · Mercedes · Hyundai Kia · Jaguar Land Rover · Wuling
World No.1 on fan control
No other suite offers automatic fan activation on as many ECUs: 212 ECU families across 31 brands, from EDC16 to MD1 and Simos, each one written from the maps found in your own file.
08 — The full screen editor
Open a project and the whole screen becomes your workspace. You know what a region is before you read a single value.
The hex dump, with a level bar on every byte. A calibration table draws a ramp. Code draws noise. An empty zone stays flat.
The value curve of the file, real addresses, real scale.
The relief of the whole dump. Tables rise as smooth waves. Code spikes.
Wheel to travel. Ctrl and wheel to widen the window.
09 — Map editing
Grey scale tables, because a map is read by its shape and not by a rainbow. Real axis values with their units in the corner: mg/stroke, rpm, bar, degrees. A live 3D surface next to it, fine wireframe, grab it and turn it.
141 maps detected on a 2.00 MB EDC17C46 read · Heatmap, Table and 3D Surface on the same map
Plus or minus 1, 5, 10 percent. Any percentage you type. Add or subtract a value. Set a value. Smooth with the neighbours. Select a row, a column, the whole map.
Apply the same change to the twin maps. Same name, same size, each one recalculated on its own values. A plus 10 percent here stays a plus 10 percent there. It does not copy your numbers across.
Double click a cell to type. A single click never changes anything. Undo everything on a map whenever you want, with a live count of what you actually touched.
10 — Live Solutions
Live Solutions is built into the software, not bolted on as a forum somewhere else. Post a file, a question or a bug and get an answer from the MasterX team and from other working tuners, without leaving the app.
Updates · Ideas · Bugs · Questions · Reviews, in one feed
Threads carry the brand, the ECU and the solution used. Attach a file, rate the result, get a reply from the MasterX team in the same thread.
Every solution another user establishes appears in the feed the day it lands, with the brand and the ECU.
dam**** established Fan Control · VAG · edc17c74
Report a bug, ask a question, propose a feature. The roadmap is public in the same feed, which is why the platform gets bigger every week.
11 — The rest of the platform
MapX detects and identifies calibration maps inside supported ECU files. Structured table, dyno-style HP and Nm curves, manual and automatic editing, and Stage generation straight from the results.
Find an ORI, restore a butchered file, compare original against tuned, rescue a corrupted read, start again from a clean factory base.
When no automatic solution exists, send the file straight from the Support Solution section. Manual files, stage files, ECU solutions, file verification, technical help, handled by the team within 72 hours maximum.
12 — Licences
Three plans, every one of them with the complete automatic suite. The full feature list, the delivery steps and the side-by-side comparison are on the licences page.
Full platform, every automatic solution, technical support with a 72 h maximum reply.
Two computers, unlimited files per day, manual file processing by the team included.
Unlimited manual processing, priority queue and the checksum module.
Hardware
MasterX works on the file, not on the wire. Whatever you use to read and write the ECU, the dump it produces is what MasterX opens — so you keep the tools already on your bench and change nothing in your habits.
Tools your files already come from
OBD2, bench, boot mode, BDM and JTAG, on cars, trucks, tractors, excavators, motorcycles and industrial engines. If a tool can read a file, MasterX can read it too.
No dongle to buy, no interface imposed, no per-file token on the automatic modules. Your licence is tied to your computer, not to a piece of hardware.
Full read, partial read, backup from a colleague, file recovered from an old job: load it and MasterX identifies it, checks it and tells you what it can do with it.
The solution is applied to your own dump in its own format, checksums corrected, ready to flash with the tool that read it.
13 — Verifiable, not claimed
A stage or a solution is only generated once every map it needs has been identified in your own file. Below that, MasterX refuses instead of forcing. You see the refusal on screen, before anything is written.
How the recognition works →A desktop install on the machine you already work on. Windows 11, Windows 10 and Windows 8 are supported, on one computer with Annual and two with Annual Plus and Ultimate Plus.

What working technicians say
Support replies in just a few minutes, even on tricky cases. Before MasterX I used to spend hours on some IMMO OFF jobs, now it is done within the day. A daily essential.
The automatic solutions are powerful and complete, they cover everything I need day to day. And if a case gives me trouble, support is always there to back me up.
I bought MasterX just to do a DPF OFF on a Citroën MD1CS006 nobody around me could crack. One job and the software paid for itself, with profit on top. A year later I still use it daily.
I use it for IMMO, ECU solutions, pin extraction, software identification, and support is top. It fits my daily work perfectly.
This software is second to none. IMMO OFF on a SID305 with no operation to do, the car started immediately.
The app has evolved a lot in a short time. DPF and AdBlue OFF on modern Citroën MD1CS003 as automatic solutions, nothing unplugged, working 100%. No regrets on the purchase.
