Intellectual property

The software, its interface, its solution database and this website are the property of the publisher. A licence grants a right of use, never a transfer of ownership, and no part of the software may be copied, resold, rented, decompiled or redistributed.

Third-party names

Vehicle makes, ECU references and third-party product names are used for identification only. MasterX is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or a partner of any vehicle manufacturer or ECU manufacturer.

What we collect, and what we never do with it

Data collected

  • Your email address and the name used for the order, to create and deliver the licence.
  • The machine activation associated with your licence, to enforce the number of authorised computers.
  • The files you choose to send us for manual processing or for a support request.
  • Support messages exchanged by email or WhatsApp.

Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's own checkout and never reach our servers, so we never see or store a card number.

Why we hold it

To activate and renew your licence, to answer support requests, to process the files you send us and to meet accounting obligations. Nothing is sold, rented or passed to advertisers.

How long

Licence and billing records are kept for as long as the law requires them for accounting. Files sent for processing are kept only as long as needed to complete the work and to answer a follow-up question about it, then deleted on request.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, its correction or its deletion at any time by writing to masterxresolve@gmail.com. Deleting the data attached to an active licence ends that licence, since it is what identifies it.

03 — Terms of use

The conditions a licence is granted under

What the licence covers

A licence gives one holder the right to use MasterX for 12 months on the number of computers stated in the plan: one computer on Annual, two on Annual Plus and Ultimate Plus. The two computers must belong to the same holder. Each computer is activated once with a code received by email, and one transfer is allowed per 30-day period if you change machine.

Delivery

Delivery is digital. The licence is activated the moment the payment clears and the credentials are sent to the email address given at checkout, normally within minutes. It is your responsibility to give a valid address.

Duration and renewal

The licence runs for 12 months from activation. Renewal is not automatic and nothing is charged without your action: we email the renewal offer before expiry, at the published renewal price, and access simply ends if you do not take it.

Support and manual processing

Technical support is included on every plan, by email and WhatsApp, answered within 72 hours maximum on Annual. Manual file processing by the team is included on Annual Plus and unlimited on Ultimate Plus, which also carries a priority queue. Restore ORI is part of manual processing and is therefore available from Annual Plus.

How the software behaves

Solutions are generated from the file you load, after the maps they need have been identified in it. Below a 100% match the operation is refused rather than forced. Coverage of an ECU family in the published list means that family can carry the systems shown, not that a given vehicle has all of them: the file settles it.

Your responsibility

MasterX is a professional tool sold to professionals. You remain responsible for the legality of the work you carry out in your country, for the road-legal status of any vehicle you modify, for taking a full backup before writing, and for the equipment used to read and write the ECU. Emission-related modifications are generally not permitted on public roads.

Payment disputes

A chargeback raised with your bank claiming an unauthorised transaction, when the payment was in fact made by you or with your consent, is treated as fraud and as a serious breach of these terms. It leads to immediate suspension of the licence and to the recovery of the amounts due.

Limits of liability

The publisher cannot be held liable for damage to a vehicle, an ECU or equipment resulting from a bad read, a bad write, an interrupted flash, unsuitable hardware or a file that was not backed up. No result on a specific vehicle is guaranteed: the projected figures shown in the Virtual Dyno are estimates that depend on the vehicle and its condition.

Refunds

The licence is generated automatically as soon as the Stripe payment is confirmed and is considered delivered once the account is created and the credentials are made available. An activated and used licence is not normally refundable, whichever plan was bought, subject to any mandatory legal provision that applies to you. The following are examined case by case: duplicate payment, licence not generated, a technical error that completely prevents access, the wrong licence bought, fraudulent payment, a wrong email address, or a Stripe incident. Write to masterxresolve@gmail.com with your licence number and the details of your purchase.
